RALLY KAZAKHSTAN 2017 - WORLD CUP STAGE IN KAZAKHSTAN
Following the meeting of the World Council of the International Automobile Federation FIA which was held yesterday, September 28 in Paris, the calendars of the World Championships in various automotive competitions in 2017 were approved.

So, the Automotorsport Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for the first time in the history of our country, has received the right to host the World Championship Stage for Rally Raids of the International Automobile Federation FIA. This stage of the World Championship will be held across country in the Mangistau Region of Kazakhstan, near the cities of Aktau and Zhanaozen from May 20 to May 27, 2017.
World Championship for Rally Raids - multi-stage races held annually in different countries from hot United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Morocco in the South to races in Russia - the world's only snow and ice Bajas. In 2017 the World Cup will consist of 11 stages, each of them will be the best race in the country which emphasizes the prestige and high status of the World Cup for Rally Raids.

- This is a great achievement not only for us, the organizers, but for the whole country - to be a part of the international calendar of the FIA Rally Raids. For several years we have been working towards this goal and finally, for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan, we have received the right to host one of the stages of this prestigious World Cup in Kazakhstan. I hope that as a result of the large collaborative work, experience and efforts of each specialist in this race, we can add positive news about Kazakhstan and make one of the most colorful and interesting stages of the World Cup for Rally Raids in the territory of our Republic, - said the President of Motor Racing Federation of the RK Marat Abykayev.
Remember, that the Rally of Kazakhstan 2016 was held in the period from May 28 to June 3 by the Automotorsport Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan which had the candidate race status for inclusion into the calendar of the World Cup for Rally Raids of the FIA (International Automobile Federation). All riders had to cover more than 2 thousand kilometers through the territory of the Mangistau region. The length of the high-speed special stages was 1,616 kilometers.
Vice-Chairman of the FIA Committee for Rally Raids Fred Gallagher, who is also the Competition Director of the "Rally of Kazakhstan in 2016", arrived to watch the Rally.
